Worth pulling?

T0 strong recommend. Strongest Main DPS in launch banner with no real replacement. Best F2P pick for first 90 pulls.

Nanally is the undisputed T0 Main DPS at NTE launch — an SS-rarity Anima/Plasma attacker whose Redirect and Ultimate synergies let her maintain near-permanent damage uptime against single targets and grouped enemies alike. If you’re spending your first 90 pulls (hard pity costs 160 Annulith per pull), Nanally is the correct target.

How to Play

Nanally’s core loop revolves around weaving normal attacks to build stacks, then triggering Redirect to reset positioning and stack her signature damage buff. Her Ultimate activates the extended 15-second damage window that her best-in-slot Arc, Ready-Ready, prolongs further. In boss encounters this translates to two full amplified windows per standard rotation.

Arc comparison:

ArcATK BonusKey EffectAvailability
Ready-ReadyHigh+CRIT Rate sub; 15s damage buff on Redirect/Ult; double-trigger boss bonusSignature (banner)
Song of the Whale+12% ATKBonus damage on broken enemiesStandard banner
Oraoro!Stack-based+2% ATK damage per normal hit, max 10 stacksF2P standard

Ready-Ready is the clear winner in sustained single-target damage, especially against unbroken bosses. If you pull on the Ichi-daime banner and get her signature Arc, your rotation efficiency improves by roughly 20% compared to Song of the Whale in long fights.

Oraoro! is a perfectly viable F2P option — 10 stacks of 2% ATK damage each add up to a +20% multiplier on normal attacks, which keeps Nanally competitive in clearing story content and lower-difficulty bossing.

Awakening priority — A2 first: A2 is the biggest single-node upgrade, adding a follow-up strike on Redirect that independently scales with Nanally’s CRIT DMG. A3 tightens the Ult energy window. A1, A4, A5, A6 are incremental gains; prioritize them only once A2 and A3 are unlocked.

Stat targets (endgame):

  • CRIT Rate: 60%+ (covered by Ready-Ready sub + module slots)
  • CRIT DMG: 130%+ (Slot A priority)
  • ATK: 2,800+
  • Anima DMG%: 54%+

Use Fireflies and the Forest Cartridge as your module set. Each Type II module slot adds +6% CRIT Rate, turning the set into an easy way to cap CRIT Rate without sacrificing ATK% in sub-stats.

Best Teams

Nanally fits into three primary team archetypes:

Bossing (recommended main team): Nanally / Sakiri / Daffodill / Fadia. Sakiri’s A4 post-Ult buff (+30% of Sakiri’s base ATK shared to the team) directly amplifies Nanally’s window. Daffodill lowers the boss break threshold by 10%, enabling faster stagger cycles. Fadia provides survival. See the full bossing team breakdown for rotation order.

Blossom Rush: Nanally / Esper Zero / Haniel / flex. This comp leans into the Blossom reaction (Anima-on-Anima synergy). Haniel’s Hootie ATK buff scales well because it uses Haniel’s own ATK stat, so keep Haniel’s ATK investment high. Check the Esper Zero build for the specific sub-DPS role.

Discord Control: Nanally / Sakiri / Daffodill / Adler. Adler’s shields let Nanally stay in combat longer without dodging, preserving stack counts. Discord reaction extends the debuff windows. More details in the teams guide.

In all three comps, activate Sakiri’s Ult before Nanally’s to capture the ATK buff inside Nanally’s damage window.

Worth Pulling?

Nanally is the strongest Main DPS available at NTE launch. There is no comparable Anima/Plasma alternative on the standard banner — Song of the Whale is her next-best Arc, not a character replacement. If you have limited Annulith and can only commit to one featured banner, Ichi-daime is the correct choice.

The 90-pull hard pity (160 Annulith each) guarantees an SS-rarity character. Given that Nanally has no real replacement in the T0 slot, spending up to soft pity (~75 pulls) is justified even for moderate spenders.

F2P players who cannot reach pity should still watch for rate-up reruns. In the meantime, Esper Zero and Mint can cover the Main DPS role in early content — check the tier list for current rankings and the F2P starter team guide for a zero-pull composition.
